Guest Services Representatives

Longwood Gardens has openings for Part Time Guest Admissions Representatives. Individuals will be responsible for selling daily admission tickets, memberships, and special event tickets along with greeting and communicating pertinent Longwood information to our guests regarding current displays, exhibit, shows and events. We are looking for candidates who have exceptional customer service, communication and hospitality skills. Candidates must have experience with Microsoft Applications, as well as Point of Sale systems. Candidates should have excellent phone etiquette and be willing to work in a call center environment. Job requires the ability to work standing or sitting for long periods time, and the ability to work in all different weather environments at multiple different onsite ticketing venues. Longwood Gardens is open 365 days a year. The work schedule include weekends, days, evenings and holidays.

Administrative Assistant, Floriculture and Research

Longwood Gardens is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the leadership team in our Floriculture and Research Divisions. This individual must be highly skilled in multiple Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Access is preferred. The Administrative Assistant will prepare correspondence, presentations and meeting minutes, perform data entry and management, coordinate meetings and organize catering, order supplies, and assist with general clerical duties as required. This individual will be required to provide vacation coverage for other Administrative Assistants in Horticulture as needed. The work schedule is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday starting at 9:00 a.m.; flexibility is desired as hours may change due to business needs.

Administrative Assistant / Central Station Operator, Public Safety & Security

Longwood Gardens is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant/Central Station Operator to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Public Safety and Security Division within our Guest Services Department. This individual will use administrative skills to handle: guest communications (internal and external); correspondence and presentation preparation; provide clerical support on projects; and other general clerical duties. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for all Central Station operations which include, but are not limited to: alarm monitoring, dispatching, system changes, CCTV operations and emergency operations.

The ideal candidate will possess an Associates' degree in Administration, or a related field and have a minimum of three years' of relevant experience. Baseline knowledge and skills for the position include, but are not limited to: excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; strong planning and organizational skills. Preferred candidates will have experience working in a safety and security environment.
