Autumn's Colors – September 7–November 24, 2013

Reconnect with nature amid the glowing reds, golds, and oranges of Autumn.

Our Garden Railway returns in October, sparking the imaginations of our littlest garden explorers as it travels through a scenic landscape.

Escape to our Conservatory for the Chrysanthemum Festival, beginning in late October. Our horticultural expertise shines as we unveil this year's Thousand Bloom Mum, the largest in North America. The performing arts shine as well, as we welcome a lineup of concerts sure to be as inspiring as the beauty that surrounds you.

Chrysanthemum Festival is unlike any other horticultural and artistic feat ever seen- featuring over 20,000 blooming chrysanthemums grown in extraordinary ways, preserving an ancient art form while innovating technique and display.

Wander through our Conservatory to see how our horticulture experts trained these colorful fall favorites into unique designs, including tall cloud forms, 13-foot arches, ball standards, shields, and more.

See a video about the making of Longwood's 2009 thousand bloom chrysanthemum on Youtube.
