Longwood Gardens presents its first major exhibition, Making Scents: The Art and Passion of Fragrance. At the intersection of flora, fashion and science, this exhibition transforms the Gardens into a museum for the senses. Experience the actual plants and flowers behind iconic perfumes, explore the mysterious power of your sense of smell, discover the creative artistry and intricate science behind perfume composition, and create a basic fragrance at the Make Your Own Fragrance stations located in the Conservatory.
Join us for Fragrant Fridays, a new way to enjoy Longwood on select Fridays throughout the exhibition.

Longwood offers a variety of grand dining experiences in the heart of our majestic Gardens. Each month during Making Scents: The Art and Passion of Fragrance, we are featuring special dinners themed to each of our Fragrant Fridays events: a Lavender Dinner on July 23; a Full-Bodied Flavors Dinner on August 13; a Honey Infusion Dinner on September 10; a Great Pumpkin Dinner on October 22; and a Vanilla Bliss Dinner on November 5. On October 2, don't miss our annual Culinature: From Harvest to Table Dinner, where you can take a culinary tour of the Gardens as you travel to different Garden spots for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, dinner and dessert.
