The Jazz Club featuring Jane Monheit

Firmly established as one of the post-millennial jazz world's foremost vocalists, Jane Monheit delights audiences with her latest project The Lovers, the Dreamers and Me.

Enjoy this collection of songs that includes interpretations of a Paul Simon classic, embraces contemporary songwriters like Fiona Apple, and features a rich assortment of jazz and pop classics, ranging from Cole Porter and Jimmy Dorsey to Leonard Bernstein.

The disc's title is a line from Rainbow Connection, the sweetly optimistic Muppets tune that closes the album. "I was actually having trouble coming up with a title," says Monheit, "so I asked for advice from a friend of mine and within seconds he said, 'call it The Lovers, the Dreamers and Me.' I was like, 'oh my Lord, that is the most perfect thing I’ve ever heard,' because I’m playing these different characters on the record and coming from these different points of view."

After the concert, relax at an exclusive coffee reception and meet the artist. Guests attending the 5:30 concert are invited to attend the coffee reception following the 8:00 performance.
