Longwood Gardens has multiple openings for part time custodians. Individuals in this position will perform various duties to ensure the cleanliness and excellent physical appearance of both the buildings and grounds. Selected applicants will also work with various departments to assist in the setup of functions and events. We are looking for candidates who have exceptional customer service, communication and hospitality skills. Work schedules will vary but may include weekends, evenings and holidays. Guest Admissions Representatives

Longwood Gardens has opportunities for part-time employees as Guest Admissions Services Representatives in our Visitor Center. These individuals will be responsible for selling tickets, greeting, crowd control, telephone customer service, scanning & rental services, and communicating information to Longwood’s guests on current displays, exhibits, shows and events.

Mail Handler

Longwood Gardens has an opening for a part-time Mail Handler in the Public Safety & Security Division of the Guest Services Department. The position is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the processing of incoming and outgoing mail. Some of the duties include picking up and delivering mail to the post office; sorting and distributing external and intradepartmental mail to various locations around the Gardens; preparing and processing all registered, certified and insured mailings.

Qualifications: The position requires that the individual be highly organized and detailed oriented with excellent customer service skills. In addition this individual must have the ability to lift heavy packages and possess a valid drivers’ license. The ideal candidate will have a background in mail handling and be familiar with the layout of the Gardens.
