About this Class
Wedding planning requires a floral designer to utilize a wide range of skills and techniques.
This course provides you with the basic skills you need to design, prepare, and arrange the flowers for a full-scale wedding and reception from basic corsages, boutonnieres, flower-girl headpieces and bouquets; to simple bridal bouquets, church aisle decorations, and reception cake decorations. There will be extensive demonstrations and hands-on projects. Discussions include how to find one’s niche in the wedding market, how to order flowers and supplies, how to describe floral concepts to clients, and how to price arrangements and services.
Bring to class a very sharp knife, wire cutters, ribbon shears, and flower snips.
This is a four session class that starts on January 25 at 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Following sessions occur on January 26, February 1 & 2.
