Admission to the gardens for this special event is free for all teachers with a valid school ID.

Registration, 9 am – 10 am
Check-in at the registration table in our Visitor Center and receive a packet of materials to prepare you for your day at the Gardens.
Guest Speaker and Welcome, 10 am – 10:45 am
Start your day in the Gardens with a welcome and special presentation from the Regional Education Manager at the National Wildlife Federation. Join us for an overview of the day’s activities and light refreshments.
Education Showcase, 11 am–4 pm
Visit us in the Catalpa Classroom throughout the day to learn about our K–12 lessons and professional development opportunities. Talk with Longwood Educators, preview programs available to you and your students, and enter a raffle for a chance to win a variety of prizes.
Curriculum-Based Lessons, 11 am–4 pm
Experience our curriculum-based lessons in the Gardens taught by Longwood Educators. A new lesson will be offered every hour and run for approximately 45 minutes.
Presentations, 11am –4 pm
Join us in the Founder’s Room for a variety of presentations focused on opportunities at Longwood for students and teachers. Programs featured include the Longwood Title I Grant, Virtual Fieldtrips, Community Read, Horticulture Education, and School Gardening.
All registered educators will receive a dining dollars card to use towards lunch at our Terrace Restaurant.
