Ornamental Grasses Continuing Education
About this Class
Ornamental grasses fill a valuable niche in garden design through the virtues of their form, texture, flowering, and cultural preferences.
This course will introduce you to the culture, identification, use, and landscape design qualities of a range of plants suitable for use in the Mid-Atlantic region. Information presented will focus on each plant’s unique qualities, key identification characteristics, and considerations for selection in the design of traditional, contemporary, and naturalistic landscapes. Attention will be given to the Family Poaceae (true grasses) and grass-like perennials in other families.
This is a six session course that begins on Tuesday, September 30 at 6:30 pm. Additional sessions are held on October 7, 14, 21, November 4 & 11.
