Photographing Orchids Continuing Education
About this Class
Orchid Extravaganza fills the Conservatory with thousands of rare and beautiful orchids. This is your opportunity, as a photo enthusiast, to capture striking images of orchids under the guidance of our instructor.
Learn to shoot the natural beauty of orchids through composition, light and background control, and close-up photography. A presentation, shooting sessions with Josh, formal critique of participants’ images, and the introduction of image enhancement techniques complete the workshop.
Participants must bring their own digital photographic equipment and are encouraged to bring a laptop computer and a flash drive to download images for the critique. Another option is to bring a flash drive with previously taken JPEG images of orchids. Participants should have a working knowledge of their camera. Some activities are not applicable to point and shoot cameras. A tripod is optional, but highly recommended.
This is a one session class on March 6, 7:00 am–1:00 pm.
