Learn the basics of plant morphology and nomenclature.
This class has two main topics ofdiscussion: plant morphology and plant nomenclature. The first part of the class will focus on the outward structure, or morphology, of plants during the growing season. Look in detail at the methods andterminology of plant identification through a diverse study of leaves, stems, flowers,and fruits. The second part deals with understanding the botanical system of plant names and how the plant kingdom is organized. This is important “groundwork” for anyone hoping to become a successful gardener.
This is a six session class that begins on January 11.
