Small Flowering Trees Continuing Education
About this Class
Flowering trees are among the most eye-catching plants in season.
Defined as flowering trees less than 40 feet tall, these plants make spectacular statements, accents, and specimen trees in any landscape. This course will focus on identification, culture, and landscape uses of favorites such as dogwoods, cherries, and magnolias; in addition to some beautiful, lesser known species like the snowbell (Styrax spp.) and dove tree (Davidia involucrata).
This is a six session course that begins on Thursday, March 6 at 6:30 pm. Additional sessions occur on March 13, 20, 27, April 3 & 10.
Guided Plant Walks
Thursdays, March 27, April 10, 2:45–5:45 pm or Saturdays, March 22, April 12, 9:00 am–12:00 pm
