Autumn's Colors – Now through November 22

Rejoice in the vibrant colors of autumn during Longwood's fun fall festival. Crisp fall weather and clear blue skies are the backdrop for nature's art exhibit of mums, gourds, colorful foliage and more. Don't miss the season's special events, including the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off, the Trey McIntyre Project dance performance, and the final fireworks show of the year. Sample the flavors of the season at cooking demos, and indulge in a fresh seasonal feast at our second Culinature dinner. Families will delight in the fanciful Garden Railway, grand Treehouses, and Monster Pumpkins on display. The Delaware Photographic Society presents The Fruits of Pollination photography exhibit in the Visitor Center.

A Longwood Christmas - November 26 through January 10

Let your imagination embark on a magical journey through a Christmas wonderland at Longwood. Twenty indoor “rooms” and acres of outdoor gardens feature dazzling living floral displays, opulent ornaments, stunning trees, a half-million lights and dancing fountains.

Enjoy holiday music throughout the Gardens with strolling carolers, festive organ sing-alongs along with evening performances including choral groups, madrigal singers and handbell choirs.

Renowed ice skaters perform in a fairy-tale setting and children will delight with an opportunity to meet the Sugarplum Fairy or have Breakfast with Santa. And don't miss the Yuletide Buffett.

Lilytopia – May 21 through 31, 2010

Inspired by the world-famous lily show at Holland’s Keukenhof, Lilytopia is Longwood’s newest annual event, transforming its majestic East Conservatory into a breathtaking showcase for the newest varieties of lilies developed by Dutch hybridizers. More than 10,000 stems are featured in innovative displays representing the newest European trends.
