September 29 The Amazing ’80s (7:15 pm start)
Swan Lake features some of Tchaikovsky’s most beloved music from what is probably the most famous ballet of all, about a princess transformed into a swan by an evil sorcerer. Our music features the well-known swan theme, several grand waltzes, dramatic Spanish and Hungarian dances, tumultuous codas, and an over-the-top finale.
Stars & Stripes is a salute to John Philip Sousa, who gave 14 concerts with his band at Longwood between 1922 and 1930, and evokes a Fourth of July parade. Toe-tapping Sousa selections include Corcoran Cadets, Rifle Regiment, Thunder and Gladiator, Liberty Bell, El Capitan, and, of course, Stars and Stripes Forever as the grand finale.
The Amazing ‘80s spotlights popular rock and pop music from the decade’s most iconic artists. From Madonna’s Material Girl, to Blondie’s Call Me, to John Cougar Mellencamp’s Jack & Diane, to The Police’s Every Little Thing She Does is Magic, the evening takes you on an eclectic musical journey that comes to a climactic end with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’ signature anthem, I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll.
The shows are designed by Arthur Rozzi Pyrotechnics of Ohio. For information, visit http://www.arthurrozzipyrotechnics.com/.

The famed Fireworks and Fountains shows, which attract 5,000 people, are operated by carefully synchronized computer programs, and the music is chosen to complement the displays.
Before each Fireworks show enjoy tasty summer fare at Longwood’s Summer Barbecues. Featuring a selection of summer favorites cooked to order on the grill as well as other delicious picnic fare, these fun barbeques are a great way to relax before the dazzling fireworks show. Special tickets are required and reservations are recommended. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 610-388-1000. Barbeque ticket prices are $30 for ages 12 and over; $18 for ages 5-11; and $5 for ages 1-4. Garden Pass Members receive a discount. The barbeque is served from 3-7:30 pm.
