Longwood Gardens has openings for part time Guest Admissions Representatives. Individuals will be responsible for selling daily admission tickets, memberships, and special event tickets along with greeting and communicating pertinent Longwood information to our guests regarding current displays, exhibit, shows and events. We are looking for candidates who have exceptional customer service, communication and hospitality skills. Candidates must have experience with Microsoft Applications, as well as Point of Sale systems. Candidates should have excellent phone etiquette and be willing to work in a call center environment. Job requires the ability to work standing or sitting for long periods of time, and the ability to work in all different weather environments at multiple different onsite ticketing venues. Longwood Gardens is open 365 days a year. The work schedule include weekends, days, evenings and holidays.
We are seeking Guest Services Associates to support our guest engagement, daily operations, seasonal content, and programming. This position is responsible for greeting guests, assisting with set-up of programs and daily operational needs, and addressing any issues requiring immediate attention or resolution. We are looking for candidates who can provide exceptional customer service and who possess excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills and a professional demeanor. This position requires walking outdoors, lifting light loads, and working in all weather conditions. The work schedule varies and requires working a minimum of three shifts per week including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Longwood Gardens has openings for Part Time Guest Services Representatives. Work in our fast-paced Visitor Center serving more than 1.2 million guests annually. Team members will be responsible for renting scooters, strollers and wheelchairs, work at our Guest Services Desk, and scan tickets and Membership cards at our access point. Longwood Gardens is seeking part time Performance Attendants. This position is part of a team that is responsible for providing crowd control and will serve as a door attendant and/or usher for live performances, workshops, residencies and rehearsals presented by Longwood Gardens.
Performance Attendants will also carry out the instructions of the Performance Supervisor including but not limited to artist hospitality; marketing and PR initiatives; supplemental guest services; safety of performers and audience. Attendants welcome guests and provide assistance and accurate information as needed, assuring that guests have a memorable, enjoyable experience. In addition, Attendants insure the cleanliness of the venue and seating area both prior to audience arrival and after the conclusion of the event.
We are looking for organized individuals with good communication skills. This individual should have knowledge of and love for the performing arts. The applicant must have the personality and ability to interact well with the public. Scheduled hours will change seasonally and are primarily evenings, weekends and holidays.
Longwood Gardens has an opening for a part-time summer camp Art Instructor. This position is responsible for developing and implementing five-weeks of afternoon art projects for summer camp programs for children ages 6-12 (sculpting, sketching, crafting, painting and various other medias). Candidates must have a genuine interest in nature and the ability to walk long distances in summer temperatures. The preferred candidate will have prior experience teaching art to children ages 6-12. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be available for training. The work schedule for this seasonal position is for five weeks, June 18 – July 27 (no camp the week of July 2), Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm.
