Explore the edible side of the landscape with an exploration of vegetables, fruits, and herbs that do best in your region. Then extend your growing season by learning about how to properly cultivate and identify bulbs and houseplants. Expand your plant knowledge at the times that are most convenient for you with a fully-online format. Through photo-stories, video presentations, online fact pages, an e-book, flash-cards, vocabulary games, mystery plants and hundreds of beautiful images you will learn the key identifying characteristics of these plants and how best to use them in the landscape. This is one of three separate courses each focused on different plant groupings and each including some favorites as well as a few introductions from the research and breeding programs at Longwood Gardens and North Carolina State University.
