Preservation of plants in the form of herbarium specimens, seedbanks, or even fossil records gives us a deeper understanding of the flora of a specific place and time, and of its evolution. Much of the knowledge we have about the way plants evolved has been preserved in seeds, leaves, fronds, and flowers. Discover the world of plant preservation with Jordan Teisher from the Academy of Natural Sciences, and journey through plant exploration and the collecting of herbarium specimens with Senior Research Horticulturist and Longwood Fellow Sadie Barber, who has worked with one of the most studied collections in the world at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Gain a unique insight to a hidden world of field botany, learn how to press research-worthy specimens, and even take home a pressed plant of your own.

Includes a flower press and pocket field guide.
