While there is an abundance of yellow, red, pink, and white, blue remains a rarity in the botanical world. Jim Harbage, Ph.D., Longwood's Floriculture Leader, discusses the trials and research that brought the Himalayan blue-poppies (Meconopsis ‘Lingholm’) from behind the scenes to the front stage at Longwood. Then join Karl Gercens, Senior Horticulturist, as he circumnavigates the globe showing off some of the greatest blue flowering plants from the Canary Islands and the coast of Greece to the iconic gardens of England.

A dessert reception follows.
