Capture autumn’s beauty in Longwood’s Meadow Garden. Zoom in on the intricate beauty of the flora and fauna of our meadow and its vast population of bugs, butterflies, and other pollinators. Using your digital camera, along with a macro lens, extension tubes, electronic flash and other equipment, advance your up-close photography skills. In the field, Jon will explore the techniques and visual elements in the photographic image. We will use editing software to render, retouch, adjust color, and combine multiple exposures/focus. Class time is devoted to photography, so we invite you to participate in our online classroom for a lively discussion and critique.

Students must have their own digital SLR camera, macro lens or extension tubes and a tripod. Dress for an indoor/outdoor learning experience.

Photos taken during photography classes at Longwood may not be sold for commercial uses.
