Peter Richard Conte, Longwood Gardens Principal Organist and the long-time organist of the Wanamaker Grand Court Organ at Macy’s in Philadelphia, presents a program featuring transcriptions of Giacomo Puccini’s Quando m’en vo’ and O mio babbino caro for flugelhorn and organ, as well as arrangements for organ four-hands with Andrew Ennis, flugelhorn player and organist.

More about Peter Richard Conte

Peter Richard Conte is Principal Organist at Longwood Gardens, and longtime organist of the Wanamaker Grand Court Organ at Macy’s, Philadelphia. Since 1991, he has served as Choirmaster and Organist of Saint Clement’s Church, Philadelphia, and has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Organ at Rider University's Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ, where he taught Organ Improvisation. In 2013, the Philadelphia Music Alliance honored him with a bronze plaque on the Avenue of the Arts’ Walk of Fame. Conte is highly regarded as a skillful performer and arranger of organ transcriptions. Mr. Conte performs extensively throughout the United States and Canada under the management of Phillip Truckenbrod Concert Artists, and has appeared as a featured artist at American Guild of Organists’ National and Regional Conventions.

More about Andrew Ennis

Andrew Ennis is a trumpeter, flugelhornist, music educator, and church musician based in southern New Jersey. He is a graduate of Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, where he received a Bachelor of Music in instrumental music education, specializing in trumpet. He is organist at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden NJ, and teaches music at the Upper Pittsgrove School.

Ennis began his trumpet studies at age eight, and his teachers have included David Bilger, principal trumpet of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Bryan Appleby-Wineberg, professor of trumpet at Rowan University. While performing a wide variety of classical trumpet literature, he also enjoys working in jazz ensembles. Mr. Ennis frequently appears in duo performances with Peter Richard Conte at the Wanamaker Grand Court in Macy’s, Philadelphia, Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and throughout the country.
