Gain an appreciation of the chemical processes that enable plants to make their own food and utilize it for growth and development. Improve your gardening skills by understanding a plant’s response to its environment and how this is translated into chemical triggers called hormones. Gardening practices are based on the anatomy of leaves, roots, and stems; an understanding of these will make sense of the proper methods of pruning, transplanting, training, and growing healthy plants.
