Join Josh to explore creative flower photography in the Conservatories, where the emphasis is on the color blue, one of nature’s most eye-catching hues for flowers. This workshop offers a combination of classroom instruction and shooting sessions with the instructor. Close-up techniques, light management, and visual design for impact with emphasis on the Artistic, Bold/Blue, and Colorful (ABCs) images of flowers will be discussed. Practical timesaving and enhancement Photoshop/Photoshop Elements techniques will be introduced and demonstrated to take your flower images to the next level.
Participants must bring their own digital photographic equipment and are encouraged to bring a laptop computer and a flash drive to download images for the critique. Participants should have a working knowledge of their camera. Some activities are not applicable to point-and-shoot cameras. A tripod is optional, but highly recommended.
Photos taken during photography classes at Longwood may not be sold for commercial uses.
