Stroll through the shade of deciduous and coniferous trees and learn about the deep history of Longwood’s property. Discover amazing facts about our champion trees and hundred-year-old bonsais. Scouts will learn how to tell the age of a tree, practice identifying trees, and bring home their own tree cookie.

Appropriate for Ages 11–14. During the two-hour program the Scout group will complete Trees Legacy Badge requirements: try some tree fun, dig into the amazing science of trees, explore the connection between people and trees, and learn how to help trees thrive. Scouts will receive a Scout Activity booklet and earn a Longwood Fun Patch.

Advance registration required. This group program is available for Troops or Dens up to 30 Scouts; based on availability.
