Take a tour of picturesque regional meadows from the perspective of the design team that helped bring them to life. Explore the many unique elements intentionally designed into these spaces for both wildlife and human visitors, and learn about the critical importance of these ecosystems for our region. We’ll begin in Longwood’s own Meadow Garden, where we’ll learn about how we preserve the tapestry of colors and succession of blooms. Next, we’ll hop on the bus and head to the Rushton Conservation Center with its abundant meadows full of pollinators and bird species, (Newtown Square); a private residence featuring a pair of wet meadows that serve as rain gardens (Wayne); and Penn Medicine’s Radnor location, which features a very young meadow early in its development process. Admission to all tour locations, as well as a boxed lunch, is included.

This is a rain-or-shine event, and you are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes. Trip leaves promptly at 8 am.
