Longwood at Granogue is a cultural landscape that was acquired by Longwood Gardens in 2024 to conserve one of the last remaining unprotected swathes of open space in the Brandywine River corridor.

Established in 1923, Longwood at Granogue includes a 38,218-square-foot colonial revival home built in 1923 and a village of small homes, barns, and a greenhouse. Offering picturesque views of the surrounding Brandywine Valley, the property includes large sections of forest, pasture, and meadow. Much of the property is not developed and remains in its natural state, as Longwood Gardens continues to study the property’s ecosystems and evaluate its land stewardship objectives. Many of the facilities on the property may not be accessible to persons with disabilities. For more information, visit class pages listed below.
