Registrations may be cancelled up to two weeks before the event, and your registration fee, less a $30 processing fee, will be refunded. Please note that refunds are not available for programs moved to scheduled inclement weather dates.

Join our East Conservatory Manager Karl Gercens as he covers all things summer foliage and flowers—from techniques for planting to tips and inspiration for design combinations. Select, combine, and plant a variety of summery plants into a beautiful focal point to take home—for indoor or outdoor display.

Karl Gercens is Longwood’s East Conservatory Manager, responsible for many of the changing displays in our indoor gardens. Originally from the Mississippi Delta, Gercens has worked at Walt Disney World in Florida and Filoli Estate in California to experience horticulture from coast to coast! Gercens has worked in the conservatory field for most of his life and has visited hundreds of gardens in all 50 states.
