As we all continue to work together to limit the spread of COVID-19 by practicing social distancing, we have made the decision to hold the 2021 Longwood Organ Academy virtually, which will take place July 19–24, 2021.
Applications are now closed.
The Longwood Organ Academy is open to those currently enrolled in an organ degree program.
Applications must include the following:
An audio or video recording (see Audition Requirements below)
The audition pieces’ sheet music
A brief biography in English (maximum 150 words)
Each applicant must be a student currently enrolled in an organ degree program. Students must submit an audio or video recording that best displays their playing level and ability. The recording should be no more than 15 minutes in length. Please remember this summer program focuses on transcriptions. If you do not have a transcription for your audition, please know you will be expected to have one ready to work on if accepted into the Organ Academy. Students must provide a copy of their audition pieces’ sheet music, preferably in PDF form. Please know if you are selected for the Organ Academy, the pieces you choose to work on that week will need to be in a nearly finished state since we will be recording the final pieces for a virtual performance.
Students who are accepted and will attend the Academy virtually are expected to pay the tuition of $500.
