How to Scan a QR Code

Using QR codes in the Gardens

QR codes—tiny black-and-white square bar codes—may look like nothing extraordinary, but their capabilities of storing information, and automatically linking visitors to a particular website page, will make it easier than ever for us to share more information onsite with our visitors.

As you explore Longwood, you will find QR codes on some of our signage and in our Visitor Guide. Scan codes with your smartphone to link up with webpages that will give you more information about our plants and displays.

Before coming to the Gardens, simply search the Marketplace or App Store on your smartphone and download a free barcode scanner or QR reader application. Many smartphones can also scan QR codes now through the camera application.
