The Fountain Room

Nestled in the heart of our Gardens, the Fountain Room overlooks our iconic Main Fountain Garden, marrying a European-inspired masterpiece with an airy, inviting new venue designed for the finest entertaining. Inside, from its thoughtful architectural elements that echo the design of the Main Fountain Garden, to its bespoke furniture crafted with reclaimed wood from Longwood trees, every detail of this remarkable space is designed to delight and astonish.

The Conservatory

For larger events, look to our historic Conservatory, a lush place of perpetual bloom and lavish attention to detail that has thrilled our guests since 1921. Here, gather amid ever-changing color, texture, and fragrance with our artful displays of horticulture, imaginatively designed to complement this soaring space’s grand walkways, columns, patio, sunken marble floor, and much more.

The Conservatory is offered exclusively for larger events and available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and select Sundays. Events in the Conservatory can include the Main Fountain Garden for an enhanced experience, available during the fountain season.

Our Spaces

Music Room

As part of our historic Conservatory, the Music Room offers an atmosphere of refined elegance and charm. Built in 1923 by Pierre and Alice du Pont for private entertaining, this intimate space features walnut and silk-damask-paneled walls, a grand fireplace, teak flooring, and an ornate painted plaster ceiling. The room is also home to the Longwood Steinway, a nine-foot concert grand piano specially veneered to match the paneling and once enjoyed by the du Ponts and world-renowned musicians alike. An adjacent outdoor patio provides the perfect setting for cocktail hour.

Capacity: 50 Guests

Please note that the Music Room is not an air conditioned space. Audio/Visual setups can be accommodated in this room.

Legacy Room

The Legacy Room is a stylish and versatile space located in the heart of the Gardens, just steps from the Café and Beer Garden. Featuring elegant marble-top tables and a lush green banquette, the room offers a comfortable setting for intimate gatherings, presentations, or celebratory meals. A private wrap-around deck—complete with an awning and framed by a serene backdrop of mature trees—extends the experience outdoors, perfect for cocktail receptions or relaxed mingling in nature.
