Established in 1923 by Irénée du Pont, Sr. (1876-1963), Granogue is a 505-acre cultural landscape in Wilmington, DE.
Offering picturesque views of the surrounding Brandywine Valley, much of the property is actively farmed for corn, soy, hay, and beef production, with large sections of forest, pasture, and meadow, and includes a 38,500 sq. ft. colonial revival-style home. Expanding upon its ongoing commitment to conservation, Longwood Gardens acquired Granogue in 2024 to conserve one of the last remaining unprotected pieces of open space in the Brandywine River corridor.
