From shorter days and cooler nights, to the transition from green to beautiful shades of red, purple, orange, and amber, autumn is a magical yet fleeting time in the garden. Learn how to hit the pause button and capture this astounding transformation in frame with two exclusive, early-morning opportunities to photograph amid golden light in our Gardens.
Before joining us onsite, explore our online learning platform for recorded lectures and examples of autumn photographs taken by instructors Bob Gross and Valerie Hoffman. Then, join Bob and Valerie in our Gardens for two onsite photography sessions spaced two weeks apart, so you can see—and beautifully capture—how a short period of time can lead to a dramatic change in the autumn landscape.
Following your shoots, submit up to two digital images for critique by Bob and Valerie during livestreamed question-and-answer and lessons-learned sessions on November 8 and 15.
Online materials remain available to you for six months after the class start date.
Dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Inclement Weather Date: Friday, November 5, 2021
K-12 educators in the course will receive 6 ACT 48 credits or a certificate of completion to receive professional development credits in their state of employment. They will also receive material on how to incorporate the course content into their curriculum.
