During this fun, hands-on workshop all about mushrooms, create your own mushroom log, using the log as the medium in which to grow edible mushrooms, to bring home—and watch grow!

Along with Aubrey Inkster of the Philadelphia Mycology Club, learn about types of wood mushrooms, as well as how they’re collected and cultivated. Using fresh logs and your choice of mushroom spores, create a unique mushroom log to care for and enjoy.

Aubrey Inkster

Aubrey Inkster is an amateur mycologist and community scientist who specializes in mushroom cultivation and fungal tissue culture. A member of the Philadelphia Mycology Club, he loves foraging for mushrooms in his spare time and tries to culture as many wild fungi as possible! Inkster is very passionate about teaching others how to cultivate mushrooms.
