Solitary bees don’t build hives like honeybees do—instead, they nest in abandoned beetle burrows in dead logs and stumps. Solitary bees are active from mid-April to mid-June, making April the perfect month to add some solitary bee habitat to your garden. Join University of Delaware Associate Professor of Entomology Debbie Delaney at The Creamery of Kennett Square to learn more about mason bees—and create your own solitary bee hotel to add to your garden and attract these powerful pollinators.
