Fee includes a boxed lunch and all-day admission to the Gardens on the day of the class.


Registrations may be cancelled up to two weeks before the event, and your registration fee, less a $10 processing fee, will be refunded.

Dive into the wonders of water and its role in ecosystems during this professional development opportunity held in the beauty of our Gardens. Learn about meaningful watershed experiences and how to implement PA Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy & Sustainability (STEELS) standards in your classroom, all while earning three Act 48 credits.

Discover ways to incorporate engaging, hands-on, and informative water activities into your classroom. Learn how to find water even if you can’t see it, by exploring our Gardens for evidence of water, how it flows, and how it affects the surrounding habitat. Create a variety of fun and impactful take-home projects designed to use in your classroom. Water Wonders is recommended for educators in grades K-5. All materials included.

STEELS Standards:

3.4.3-5.A - Analyze how living organisms, including humans, affect the environment in which they live, and how their environment affects them.
3.4.K-2.C - Explain ways that places differ in their physical characteristics, their meaning, and their value and/or importance.
