Put a new twist on your favorite summer cocktails and mocktails during this fun, thirst-quenching, online class. Sample the sweet flavors and zesty aromas of locally grown citrus. Yes, that’s correct: citrus grown in Florence, New Jersey, by Seema and Vivek Malik of Bhumi Growers. Find out how they cultivate unusual and hard-to-find citrus and how Linda Shanahan and Eric Vanderhyde of Barefoot Botanicals extracted the citrus flavors into hydrosols, simple syrups, and tinctures.  Then, dive deep into the world of seasonal spirits as mixologist Evan Totto of Longwood Gardens’ 1906 Restaurant guides you through the process of crafting a series of refreshing summer drinks and shares food pairings from the chefs at Longwood.

This course includes a kit of herbal and citrus ingredients delivered to your home to create two signature cocktails developed just for this class. The kit does not contain alcohol or mixing supplies. A list of additional ingredients and spirit recommendations will be provided in advance of the class. The course includes three-month access to the recording of the presentation.
