Capture the sunny and vivid beauty of spring botanicals on paper in this immersive drawing workshop for beginners to avid hobbyists.
Learn how to render vibrant spring botanicals using Prismacolor pencils, celebrating the subtle textures, forms, and pigments unique to spring’s palette. Start with a brief introduction into the history of botanical illustration, foundational drawing techniques, and study of springtime botanicals. Then, learn how to observe and draw nature’s intricate details—from a plant’s petals, leaves, stems, and more.
You’ll leave with a completed series of sketch studies and the makings of a final botanical piece for you to take home and complete using the skills gained in this class.
