Distinctive Dining in the Heart of Longwood Gardens

Overlooking the Main Fountain Garden, 1906 is where the Gardens come to the table.

Led by Executive Chef George Murkowicz, 1906 serves a bold American menu rooted in the seasons, the soil, and the Gardens themselves. Much of what arrives on your plate is grown just steps away in our Ornamental Kitchen Garden—home to more than 200 varieties of fruits, vegetables, and herbs—where gardener and chef work in close partnership to bring each dish to life.

Your meal is complemented by a wine list honored with Wine Spectator's 2025 Best Of Award of Excellence, and The World of Fine Wine's 2025 "World's Best Wine Lists" alongside house-crafted cocktails and garden-inspired tonics that change with the seasons.

The space itself was designed by internationally acclaimed firm WEISS/MANFREDI, reflecting the artistry and spirit of Longwood. And our commitment extends beyond the table—unused produce from our Gardens is donated to local food banks, so every harvest nourishes our guests and our neighbors alike.
