The Kennett Symphony, with music director Michael Hall, returns to our Gardens with a program devoted to Romance & Revelry, featuring their concert master Eliezer Gutman as a soloist in Dvořák’s Romance and Saint-Saën’s Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso. The evening concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.  

More about the Kennett Symphony and this performance

Dr. D. Duer Reynolds, a prominent local physician, and Ray Lyman Ott, head of the Kennett Consolidated School music department, founded the Kennett Community Symphony Orchestra in 1940 as an all-volunteer orchestra. Today the Kennett Symphony of Chester County is Chester County, Pennsylvania’s only professional symphony orchestra.
