Maria Navarrete-Olvera

Maria Navarrete-Olvera has been a member of the Kennett Square community since childhood. After graduating from Kennett High School, she attended and graduated from Penn State University. Upon graduation, she worked in the community with several non-profit organizations while earning her master’s degree. She then became a branch manager for two different local banks before following her longtime friend and mentor's advice to follow her dreams. She subsequently attended Floral Design classes at Longwood Gardens and opened Zena Florist in 2018.

Zena Florist provides full services for weddings, funerals, events, and special occasions, reflecting Navarrete-Olvera determination to provide high-quality, unique floral designs that showcase the beauty growing in the fields and farms surrounding Kennett Square, and her commitment to nurturing community connections. Navarrete-Olvera and her team take pride in creative and beautiful arrangements that feature locally grown flowers most of the year.
