Celebrated for her inspirational lyrics and infectious grooves, Best Children’s Music Album Grammy-nominee Divinity Roxx creates empowering music and media that educates and guides children and young adults to be the best versions of themselves. Roxx has toured with and served as music director for Beyoncé and has been heralded a “true kid idol” by The Chicago Sun-Times.
A multi-hyphenate artist and composer, Roxx’s career as a bass player skyrocketed after touring with five-time Grammy Award-winning bass virtuoso Victor Wooten. She then toured and performed with Beyoncé as her bassist and musical director; served as a featured soloist on the Beyoncé Experience tour and DVD and composed original music for Beyoncé’s I...AM Sasha Fierce tour.
Roxx created Divi Roxx Kids to further her mission to inspire and empower young people through music, edutainment, and storytelling. Her debut, full-length family music album Ready Set Go! was nominated for Best Children's Music Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. Scholastic Inc. published two songs from Ready Set Go! as fully illustrated picture books.
Roxx has appeared on countless television shows and programs, including The Grammys, Saturday Night Live, Good Morning America, and more, with personal highlights including a special performance at The White House with President Obama and an invite by President Biden to perform at the historic Easter Egg Roll in 2023.
Roxx co-composed music for the Young Theatre of the Arts play The Boy Who Kissed The Sky written by Idris Goodwin and produced by the Tony Award-Winning Alliance Theater (Atlanta) and Seattle Children’s Theater. She composed and performed the theme song for the PBS Kids television show Lyla in the Loop in 2024. Roxx made her debut as a playwright and actor in the world premiere of her one-woman show Starchild: The Ballad of Debbie Walker at Crossroads Theater in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 2023. Roxx is also a proponent of the rights of performing musicians and songwriters, speaking out against pay inequity and gender bias in the music industry.
