With brilliant-colored stems, deeply furrowed bark, and the remnants of fruit and seed pods gracing the winter landscape, many of our woody plants have different characteristics during the dormant season. The ability to discern a plant’s characteristics during the winter months can be a tricky task for even a skilled horticulturist. This course demystifies the twig identification process through class discussion, examples from the garden, and the review of morphological terms and basic identification techniques.
This live-streamed event will be recorded; you will have access to the recordings for three months.
The session counts as a horticulture technology class for the Ornamental Horticulture Certificate program.
