As America’s Garden Capital, Philadelphia is home to a broad and diverse horticultural history, as well as some of the top gardens in the world. Join Longwood Gardens Director of Continuing Education Director—and voracious traveler and garden enthusiast—Matthew Ross as he shares some of the lesser-known gardens, museums, preserves, and natural lands of the region. From a garden full of larger-than-life dinosaurs, to an ethereal oasis in Chadds Ford, to the best spots to find the Jersey Devil in the Pinelands, Matthew will share a variety of garden gems, all within an hour’s drive of the City of Brotherly Love, to add to your 2022 botanical bucket list.

We’ve proudly teamed up with The Creamery of Kennett Square to offer engaging horticultural experiences in a spirited community space. Join us for our fun Plantology on Tap events held at The Creamery and enjoy an engaging botanical talk paired with a delicious small bite and signature cocktail to round out the fun.
