Spend a morning admiring—and sketching—the verdant view of Longwood’s iconic Flower Garden Walk or Peirce’s Park from the Peirce-du Pont House area. Start your experience online as instructor Frank DePietro offers tips and techniques for sketching en plein air. Then, during the four-hour sketching session—which begins a full two hours before the Gardens open to guests—capture the view while receiving individualized support from DePietro. While this plein air experience is focused on chalk pastels, those using other media may also attend.

Bring your own equipment—pastels, easels, tools, etc.—in the medium of your choice. Includes Gardens admission for the day.

Inclement weather date Sunday, September 18.
