Now, you can learn how to grow some of these lovely specimens at home. Engage in discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities as you divide and repot surplus plants from Longwood’s collection to take home for your water garden. Conclude with a walk around the Waterlily Court and discuss favorable conditions for growing these remarkable plants.

Students receive plants, special medium, and a container to create their own miniature water garden. Please be prepared to transport a large container, dress for a hands-on experience, and bring gardening gloves if you care to use them.

She is also one of the curators of Longwood’s waterlily collection and the president of the International Waterlily and Water Gardening Society.
