Ready to paint? Join us this Spring for another iteration of the Artist Dives into the Archives! During this interactive session, instructor Carol Gangemi will guide you through painting Primula auricula, a rare and exciting plant that will captivate your brush and give your paints a workout. Here’s your chance to focus on this elusive species typically found in the great gardens of England that takes a master to grow but that anyone can paint. During this course, you will hand paint in watercolor a botanical engraving from our archives, mimicking the way historical botanical artists captured plant authenticity, and learn basic mixing techniques to achieve numerous shades of clear color.

All supplies will be mailed to your home. For you to receive the materials in time for the course, registration will close on Wednesday, March 16.

Registration includes three-month access to a recording of the session.
