During this professional development opportunity held in the beauty of our Gardens, focus on nature-inspired engineering and how to implement PA Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy & Sustainability (STEELS) standards in your classroom, all while earning three Act 48 credits. Learn about the benefits of incorporating nature into your classroom—including amplifying your students’ creativity, imagination, and relaxation—and delve into the science of biomimicry. Explore our Gardens to see plants that have inspired biomimicry, and participate in a hands-on activity that you can use in your own classroom. Recommended for educators in grades K-5. All materials included.
