Drawing inspiration from flowers and foliage previously collected from Longwood, create a graphite and watercolor botanical art masterpiece on vellum, a unique material valued for its longevity and luminous color.
Expert botanical artist Margaret Saylor guides you through the process in this day-long class suited to those new to painting on vellum, as well as those who have worked in this medium before and are looking to expand their skills.

Materials
Vellum will be provided. Students should come prepared with other supplies, including a high-quality sable brush, paint, pencils, tape, and a solid, white surface to paint on, such as foam core. A complete list of supplies will be emailed no later than one week before the class.
Please note: Vellum is an animal byproduct. We only utilize ethically sourced vellum.
