Fee includes all-day admission to the Gardens on the day the class is onsite.

Registrations may be cancelled up to two weeks before the event, and your registration fee, less a $30 processing fee, will be refunded. Please note that refunds are not available for programs moved to scheduled inclement weather dates.

Throughout our indoor gardens are spectacular hanging baskets, designed and maintained by our Longwood horticulturists.

Use these stunning arrangements as inspiration in planting your own hanging basket, guided by Longwood Horticulturist Clay Stradley. Learn the best plants to select for your basket, what will thrive in a hanging environment, and how to arrange your planting for the biggest impact. You’ll leave with your own hanging basket creation to take home and admire.

Clay Stradley

Clay Stradley is a horticulturist in the East Conservatory, caring for a large portion of our permanent tropical plant collection. With a master's degree in plant taxonomy, Stradley previously served as a tropical greenhouse manager for a local garden center. He loves container gardening and the opportunities it gives when trying new combinations.
