Instructor

Anton Ginella

Anton Ginella is the Outdoor Landscapes Manager at Longwood Gardens, where he oversees the West Section of the garden—including the Ornamental Kitchen Garden, perennial garden, combination border, and annual display beds—and leads the Outdoor Landscapes component of the Longwood Reimagined project.

Anton began his horticulture career in Napa Valley, California, managing the 20-acre Georges de Latour Estate at Beaulieu Vineyard, where he discovered a passion for vegetable gardening. He went on to supervise the vegetable garden at The French Laundry, the world-renowned, three-Michelin-starred restaurant. Building on these experiences, Anton founded a farm-to-table garden consulting business, working with wineries, restaurants, and private estates throughout Napa and Sonoma Counties. His clients included Cakebread Cellars, Silver Oak Winery, R+D Kitchen, and Marciano Estate.

At every stage of his career, Anton has focused on strengthening the relationship between the garden and the kitchen. He continues this work at Longwood through his leadership of the Ornamental Kitchen Garden and his collaboration with the on-site fine dining restaurant, 1906, providing fresh herbs, edible flowers, and seasonal produce grown on-site.
