One of the most important, but often overlooked, steps in creating a beautiful outdoor space is photography. Photographing images of a site before construction helps elevate the design process. Capturing the finished product gives you a collection of before-and-after photos that showcase your work to prospective clients or in case studies. This four-part class covers how to catalog a site, create finished images, and use post-production techniques to ensure your images look their best.
While you are welcome to use any digital camera of your choice, we recommend a DSLR or even a cell phone with a high-resolution camera. A tripod is required to ensure a quality image.
The four live sessions will be recorded; access to the recordings and other online class material will be available for six months following the end of the course.
This course is an elective in the Longwood Certificate of Landscape Design. To receive credit, you will need to share images of your work and submit a final project.
