Put on your gloves, hat, and scarf, and take advantage of a rare opportunity to shoot the outdoor light display without crowds. A short, illustrated introductory lecture starts your evening, with most of the class dedicated to shooting in the outside Gardens to capture Longwood’s magnificent Christmas light display. Share your favorite image at the end of the night for comments from the instructor and an enlightening critique from everyone in the class.
Participants must bring their own digital photographic equipment and are encouraged to bring a laptop computer and a flash drive to download images for the critique. Participants should have a working knowledge of their camera. Some activities are not applicable to point and shoot cameras. A tripod is optional, but highly recommended.
Except for a brief introduction, the class will be held entirely outside in the Gardens. Please dress for the weather.
Photos taken during photography classes at Longwood may not be sold for commercial uses.
